I started my oil painting class which, despite an initial set of reservations, seems to be exactly what I was looking for: an in depth look at the medium of oil from canvas prep to finish. The class is an wide mix of people from one guy who has never taken a class to artists looking to switch mediums.

Several errand trips last weekend included collecting materials for the class. To my surprise, I did not have many of the items on the list. Tuesdays are going to be long but I am very excited to be heading to class. First up is canvas stretching and prep.
